Litigation engagements begin at a $7,500 retainer, billed hourly against it and replenished as it draws down. We generally take litigation matters where the amount in dispute exceeds $25,000. Injury and wrongful death matters are different: those are handled on a contingency fee, with no retainer and no attorney fee unless we recover. Family law matters are billed hourly against a retainer stated in the engagement letter.
